Incorporated in 1920 by 1980 the population was still only 30,000. By 2007 the population exploded too 240,000. Chandler, AZ has 5 golf course communities. Sunbird, Springfield Lakes/Solera, Sun Lakes and Ocotillo are located in South Chandler and the golf community of San Marcos is more Central/North.
