How much HP can 1050x injectors handle? ›

Stock fuel system with 1050x injectors and BAP will hit 800rwhp on E85. The key that was mentioned was a Canton filter. My tuner was hitting a limit at 800 and only changing to the Canton filter let him be more comfortable at 830-840 than stock filter at 800. Point is, don't forget the filter upgrade.

Bigger is not always better

It's easy to fall into the trap of thinking that bigger fuel injectors equal more power, but unless your engine is set up to deal with the extra fuel, you'll be on a fast track to trouble. The excess fuel will flood the engine and it either won't run at all, or will be running too rich.

What happens if you don't code new injectors? ›

Engine Misfire: If the injectors are not programmed correctly, they may not deliver the correct amount of fuel at the correct time, causing the engine to misfire. 4. Engine Damage: If the injectors are not programmed correctly and deliver too much fuel, it can damage the engine, resulting in costly repairs.

What destroys fuel injectors? ›

Common causes of injector failure

While many things can cause breakdowns, the most likely cause of premature failure is fuel contamination. Fuel contamination occurs when debris in the fuel gets past the filtration, destroying the sealing surfaces. Think microns, smaller than a human's hair-sized, clearances.

How to know if fuel injectors are clogged? ›

Recognizing the Telltale Signs of Clogged Fuel Injectors
  1. Poor Fuel Efficiency.
  2. Rough Idling or Stalling.
  3. Reduced Engine Performance.
