I used sirloin kabobs we had from our local meat guy. The meat was so tender. The sauce was so great with the rice noodles. I will def be making this again. This would be an easy company recipe I think. the kabobs were so quick cooking.

We also stir-fried (with carrot shreds) instead of skewers. I found the marinade delightful! I didn't think it tasted to soy sauce-y, but then I like asian dishes. I was looking for another weeknight asian dish and this is it. If you like this, also try Asian Beef Rolls http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/asian-beef-rolls-10000001911384/

This recipe was OK. I found the flavours to be overpowering...there was no hidden depth or notes of anything other than a strong soy flavour. I'm all in favour of strong tastes but this had no real finesse.

Delicious! Super-easy marinade that tastes amazing with amazingly little effort. I used this marinade on cubed pork loin instead of beef, and the flavor was fantastic. I used only 1T of the sambal oelek because it really packs a punch (we love spicy food but this stuff is really strong) and I took another reader's suggestion and stir-fried the meat, then brought the reserved marinade to a boil in the stir-fry pan using a little beef stock to deglaze, then tossed the noodles in that. I'm wondering if boiling the reserved marinade will work to kill any bacteria if used to marinate chicken - because this is so good and so easy that I think it will become a staple.

This was a very good recipe; quick and easy to put together. I followed the recipe as shown except for using sweet & spicy chili sauce; it gave it a teriyaki type flavor. My husband grilled the skewers and the meat cooked nicely. We liked the flavor of the marinade with the noodles as well. I served roasted beets with this meal. I will make it again and would serve it to guests.

This recipe is AWESOME! Even my 4 year old asks for it. We skip the sugar altogether and stir fry versus grill, although I would like to try broiling next time. After we simmer the sauce and water, I just throw the softened noodles in the pan and cook them in the sauce a little. YUM! Tonight I didn't have lime either, but added a little ginger since I had it on hand (just chopped it up in the food processor with the garlic). It was great! We serve it with sauteed red bell pepper strips and sauteed snow peas or snap peas. We make this recipe just about every other week. Love love love it!

Don't choose this if you don't like strong flavors -- but if you do . . . this is super-easy and makes a great dinner. Served with simply-steamed asparagus. Excellent.

This recipe was really good. I don't think it serves 4 people though, my husband and I are light eaters and we shared it with our one year old and maybe we could have feed another light eater. Next time I will add bell pepper and maybe some cherry tomatos, I felt like the meal could have used some veggies. I also think med-high was to hot so they were a little over cooked but it was a fast meal. Will make it again and again!

This. Was. Goooooooood. The meat was so tender and flavorful. I couldn't find the wide rice sticks so I used the super skinny ones. I also totally overlooked the water but the noodles still tasted delicious. I thought the chile paste added the perfect amount of spice. Hubby, however, added some Sririachi to kick up the heat. I'll definitely make this again. Yum, yum, yum.

Very good but too sweet. I'll cut sugar by half next time. I used chili paste with garlic so I only used 2 garlic cloves. Served with udon noodles. Forgot to add the 1/2 cup water and it still came out okay. Sauteed sh*take and oyster mushrooms and roasted asparagus.

Yet another super simple recipe from CL that's awesome! This dish is quite spicy using the listed amount of chile paste, but not too much for us. Also, I'd reduce the cooking time to 2 minutes total next time, but maybe my fire was too hot. Don't forget to soak the skewers first so they don't burn up!

This was great and really easy. I did not skewer the meat but just put directly on a grill pan. It took 2 batches to cook the meat. After removing the meat from the pan I added the water and the reserved marinade directly to the grill pan to deglaze and get all the tasty drippings (instead of just leftover marinade and water in separate pan). Served with rice and broccoli broiled until crispy (tossed with some olive oil, salt and red pepper flakes, then sprayed all with cooking spray. broil for 10 minutes). The meat was tender and flavorful. I will definitely make again!

My extremely picky children loved this recipe. My older son commented on how he much he liked the marinade--just the right combination of sweet and salty. I plan to quadruple this recipe and make it for my younger son's 7th birthday; but it is a very easy everyday recipe. The only thing I did differently was make it in a grill pan instead of on a grill. I soaked the skewers and then cut about 2 inched off the end so they would fit in the pan.

This recipe was my first attempt at an Asian-flavored meal, and I'm hooked! The recipe was extremely easy, considering you can make the marinade the night before and let the meat soak up all of the flavor! Truly an awesome dish, and fairly inexpensive once you have the Asian basics. Will definitely be making again!
