Money Market Funds: A money market fund is a type of mutual fund that invests in highly liquid, near-term instruments on a pooled basis. These instruments include cash, cash equivalent securities, and highly -rated, debt- based securities with a short-term maturity (such as Government Treasuries, commercial paper and certificates of deposit). Money market funds are intended to offer investors high liquidity with a very low level of risk. I like the ecosystem idea, when all wealth management's services will be providing different units. I will try to explain my point of view.It's not a secret that trust in all wealth management's segment has sunk since the 2008 financial crisis. And a main point is not only securitization of debts and misleading all investors global the world. The biggest problem was and still is tremendous banks. They offer all financial services in a room of the bank. They know all information about their clients, especially about client's trading deals and exploited it for Dark Pools, HFT and other ways (plural), which only strategically hurt clients. After that, if the government discovers these offenses, these guys just pay the fine and continue to do the same.Now wealthy investors tend to cooperate less with big banks and prefer instead so-called investment boutiques. Maybe those small firms haven’t got a lot clients, but provide a holistic and tailor approach and clients feel special.
